With ICT Spring 2017 fast approaching, we asked Christian Baumann, our Head of Solutions Architecture and Development, about his participation, his expectations, and the importance of innovation, knowledge sharing, and how they relate to q-leap’s vision!
WHY DO YOU THINK IT’S IMPORTANT FOR Q-LEAP TO TAKE PART IN ICT SPRING?
“In the IT world, nothing is more important than staying up-to-date. When I take part in events like this, I always try to find key factors for improvement, knowledge and techniques that I can use in my day-to-day work to keep taking the job to the next level. It’s a vision shared by q-leap and deeply rooted in its fundamentals. ICT Spring features workshops and speakers from leading industry players, giving us an incredible opportunity to share knowledge and stay innovative in an ever-changing sector.
“Because in IT, you have to use innovation to constantly reshape your business to be the best it can be. You can’t advise properly if you’re lagging behind!”, he declared.
HOW IMPORTANT IS IT FOR Q-LEAP TO HAVE A STAND?
“Well, the main reason is to talk to potential customers, but also to understand the current market. We want to know what people’s expectations are, of the product, the market and q-leap’s position in all that. As a company, you have to constantly transform yourself, find new perspectives, find ways to give the customer what they want, but more importantly, what they need. Sometimes, what the customer wants isn’t in line with what we offer, with our vision. For q-leap, nothing is more important than quality. And quality takes time to develop. Sometimes we’re approached with requests for rushed projects, where time and money are valued above quality. In such cases, the vision of the project is not in line with our vision of quality, and we can’t commit to the project”, he explained.
