With ICT Spring 2017 fast approaching, we asked q-leap CEO Sylvain Perez about his vision and the future of q-leap!<\/strong><\/p>\n

HOW WOULD YOU DEFINE Q-LEAP’S VISION?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

“Since its inception in 2012, q-leap’s vision has always been focused on quality. We believe that quality should be considered throughout the project, as a constant cycle. In other software companies, quality is often an afterthought. It’s only after development is complete that quality is taken into account. And that’s often too late. Because when software testers start measuring quality, they discover problems. Bugs of all sizes. And these bugs can be so big that the architecture of the whole program collapses under their weight. They can be so costly that a lot of unfinished, low-quality software is released to users. Because it lacks quality, users will abandon it. Especially in today’s digital age, where programs can be installed as quickly as they can be uninstalled”, Sylvain Perez points out.<\/p>\n

“At q-leap, we believe that quality is a process throughout development, from start to finish. Every employee at q-leap thinks about quality. Business analysts, software testers, solution architects and project managers, they all know how to create quality and always strive to achieve it. Every step of the process is focused on quality,” he said.<\/p>\n

WHERE DO YOU SEE THE COMPANY EXPANDING IN THE COMING YEARS?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

“q-leap’s quality is based on four pillars: software testing, solution architecture and development, business analysis and training courses.<\/p>\n

Software testing is all about measuring quality, and quality can be measured in many different ways. Functional testing, performance testing, automation, etc. We want to continue to expand our testing expertise and grow as a key player in the sector.<\/p>\n

Where software testing measures quality, architecture and solution development take action. Quality software is like building a house. Good architecture can build a two-storey house, and when homeowners want to expand, they can easily add a third floor, rooms, and so on. Bad architecture builds a house without foundations. If modifications are required, the entire structure must be reworked. And that’s the difference between excellent software developers and bad software developers. An application should be able to grow in terms of users and functions as much as necessary, and the software structure must be able to support this. That’s quality.<\/p>\n

But it’s also about what users need, and that’s where our business analysts come in. To deliver quality software, you need to understand what the customer wants and needs, and link that to quality. Our business analysts are trained to integrate quality procedures into all their work, which truly ensures that even the very first step at q-leap is quality-driven.<\/p>\n

And finally, we want to share our vision of quality through our training courses. We’re expanding our offer to provide everyone with what they need to make quality an integral part of their work. While we initially offered training courses for software testers, we now also offer business analysis courses and are looking to expand even further. Our training courses are certified, but offer more than that. We also explain how quality comes into play, which offers far greater value than competitors,” noted Sylvain Perez.<\/p>\n
