Job description

By joining our test consultancy team as a Senior Test Consultant, you will:

  • help in the creation of test processes, managing test projects and assuring quality for our clients
  • participate, with the other q-leap senior test consultants, in the development of the q-leap Testing & Quality Assurance service line

As a Senior Test Consultant, your responsabilities are:

  • Provide an excellent standard of service to the customer
  • Successfully carry out all tasks stated in a project role in a timely and efficient manner
  • Follow company processes and procedures while carrying out the tasks where deemed necessary
  • Perform in-house duties when not on client site. Duties may include improving ISO procedures, gaining new testing knowledge, conduct or follow trainings, develop Proof Of Concepts

In the scope of a project, the main duties of a Senior Test Consultant involve:

  • Conduct research, surveys and interviews to gain understanding of the business
  • Manage test teams, and their testing functions
  • Create test plans and test strategies
  • Conduct test requirements gathering, create test scenarios, test scripts, design test cases and execute tests
  • Establish test processes to optimize testing
  • Minimize budget expenditure on tests
  • Actively participate in the review of test deliverables
  • Conduct risk assessment, risk management, quality assurance functions, write reports and schedules
  • Coordinate individuals and teams
  • Recognize when test automation is appropriate, plan the development and help select the right tools
  • Document tests findings

A Senior Test Consultant can have one of these roles in a project:

  • Test Manager
  • Programme Test Manager
  • Test Assessor
  • Trainer
  • Coach

Your profile

  • 3 years of relevant consulting or industry experience
  • A minimum of 1 full life cycle implementation in a testing role
  • At least 7 years of experience developing test plans, test scenarios, test cases, execution of test case and documentation of test results
  • At least 2 years of experience with developing the testing strategy for large scale programs and ensuring requirements traceability throughout the system development lifecycle
  • At least 3 years of leading Testing efforts, including experience with all phases of testing: System, Integration, User Acceptance and Performance Testing


  • ISTQB Advanced Level Test Manager certification
  • Technical expertise in implementing industry standard testing methodology and toolsExperience implementing testing best practices specific to the test planning and execution processes and gaining buy-in for changes from executives

Language requirements : You are fluent both in English and French. (French being the mother tongue is a plus)

Education requirements : Master’s Degree or equivalent experience
