Since the beginning of this year, we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming Yousra Aboumejd, who joined our team in February 2024, and Nikola Krstic, who arrived in January 2024. Both were recruited after completing a testing course run by our trainers at the Digital Learning Hub (DLH). The Digital Learning Hub was set up by Luxembourg’s Ministry of Education, Children and Youth, and offers continuing IT training for adults, particularly those undergoing professional retraining.
Based in Belval – Esch s/ Alzette, the Digital Learning Hub is a center of excellence for
strengthening digital skills in Luxembourg. In partnership with Q-Leap and
Talan offers aLearning Track training program for technical software testers that is open to all, and free of charge for jobseekers registered withADEM. During the course, learners acquire the technical skills to automate testing and address non-functional aspects of software, such as usability. It also trains them in test methodologies, requirements analysis, campaign and test case development, test execution, and effective communication of analyses and results.
This training course is made up of several modules, all supervised by our trainers Julien Desmulier and Renaud Bournonville, as well as Talan ‘s Asma Reghimi , and offers a rigorous apprenticeship for those wishing to start a career as a tester. During our last training session, we had the opportunity to hire two candidates. Thanks to the skills acquired during this training course, we were delighted to recruit Yousra and Nikola.
Nikola and Yousra are perfect examples of these talents: Yousra impressed with her determination, intelligence and curiosity. Nikola stood out for his logical reasoning, meticulous problem-solving skills and desire to pursue his thoughtful solutions. These are precisely the skills we’re looking for in our
testers.
Nikola had just finished high school when he enrolled on the “Introduction to Test Automation” course. Curious about the testing profession, which he knew nothing about, he discovered a genuine interest in it. Nikola has a unique ability to detect anomalies and logically articulate what’s not working properly. Now integrated into a team of diverse personalities and temperaments at a major customer, he continues to hone his technical mastery of test automation.
Yousra is a bubbly, dynamic person, with a strong ability to analyze details. She naturally gravitated towards testing, where she quickly demonstrated promising potential. Initially trained in development and with initial experience in web development, she found it natural to turn to testing. With an eye for detail and quality, this transition went smoothly during her training at the Digital Learning Hub.
Currently on a long-term assignment with one of our valued customers, she performs well at
asboth amanual and automated tester, fitting in perfectly with their team and meeting their sometimes exacting requirements, while retaining her infectious positivity.
